32-64 Jailbreak

I feel like we should increase the server max players to 64 rather then 32 only because imagine how sick and populated Jailbreak would be.

32 is fine for me, any higher its just way too much people, noise, chaos, lack of time to do anything. I didn't even touch the server when it went passed 32 the first time.

We had it at 64 peeps before this month.
We brought it down specifically cause not only did the server lag but in the past few months we had it that high it only reached 64 once.
Just works out better this way. Keeps people from constantly being afk
Keeps the server from lagging.
Helps make it more manageable in general ya know?

Only real reason I see to have it at 32 is because if there are too many people the server lags.

It gives admins more work because they have to also check to see if spectators are filling up the server ontop of all the other things they already have to do.

Having the number out of 32 does make the server look more populated depending on how you look at it. The server browser however does sort by total people and not the ratio of open and closed slots and a lot of people tend to just look at the connected players anyways. We also have the beauty of being one of the few populated CSS jailbreaks (epseiclally if you consider English speaking) so most of the time we will end up being the first choice anyways.

BUT I do think it should stay at around 32 just because the lag is a big turn off for a lot of people and can ruin the gameplay.

Not the main reason for the reduction but yea 32 is better for looks and for the JB gamemode.

To be fair, the server didn't lag at more then 32 players, there was an individual who was exploiting the server who was been dealt with accordingly (nullroute) this was a problem for around 4 months, and we had to ascertain EVERY ip range he had to be able to deal with him properly, which we have now, however at the admin meeting everyone voted to bring the limit too 32, hence why it sits there.

I avoid the server when it's above about 25 people because usually it's too many people to get a word in on mic or even play jb properly. Too much chaos and noise for my liking.
64 would be torture.

That's the point where the admins should just say " ct's play your role or get slated " don't spam or talk over warden, if u do u get kicked.
At that point u need to just skip the "hey please don't talk over warden and Insta mute em in till everybody behaves
