I've tried to get this idea going with staff and higher ups with like no support so I thought I'd come to the community to hear from you all. I've actually talked to a bunch of you in private and you agree with having some kind of guidelines on how to be promoted with each rank. Right now our system to me makes no sense other than whoever has been more popular with the higher ups gets looked at for promotion. Our promotions should be based on merit not just because you are sucking up or because you've been super friendly with higher ups. Why do we not have set requirements for each rank that you have to meet in order to be promoted? Again when I look at some of our vets or elites like they've never donated a penny to the community, they don't help promote events or servers, they don't do anything that you would think would be required to be worthy of that higher rank other than they've got on the good side of higher ups. Wouldn't it also help the community more by having goals that people actually know and can achieve rather than it being a guessing game on when they get promoted? Please let me know your thoughts below |

As long as you are active, mature, and helpful, you'll succeed in this community. Asking for a promotion just reverses the process... That gives you no set qualifications on promotions and that is exactly what I'm saying.

If there were set objectives that were set to get promoted, all we would have are people who are just trying to reach those goals and not give a damn about helping the community. This isn't a community which should be based on achieving a higher rank, (and tbh that took me ages to realise), it's supposed to be a place where a bunch of people get together and hang out/play games. Really if one helps out around the clan then they have a good chance on being promoted. TL:DR; Have fun. |

But you're literally having people doing everything they can to help the community and not even getting noticed for it because they don't suck up to the higher ups or aren't the super popular person. I'm all for just having fun but when people are being promoted for not doing shit it gets kinda old. And I'm not the only person to feel like this. |
