Because with our current technology, it physically isn't possible to prove or disprove the existence of God or Gods.

This is so inaccurate. There is no proof that God exists at all, everyone that believes in a higher being is going off of pure faith. Don't get me wrong, I am Catholic and did go to a private Catholic school for a bit. But the whole point of religion is having faith when there is no empirical evidence.
