You do realize that you learn grammar and spelling to use it in the real world and not just in the classroom? Saying that spelling and grammar no longer applies when you leave Language Arts is like saying gravity no longer affects you when you leave Science class.

Well if your science class was a in a room in a spaceship (that isn't being affected by the gravitation of a celestial body) that rotated around the rest of the spaceship, that'd actually be possible if you'd do an EVA to get out of your classroom. =]
