Living in DC, I see a lot of these polar opposite points; however, it comes down to which media message is being most truthful. Traditionally, journalist are suppose to be unbiased and more agile in their pursuit of truth. Nowadays, we have large media companies competing for ratings and multi-million dollar deals, skewing that unbiased view to favor their lobbyist.

The media is attempting to divide people to better favor their ratings, lobbyists, and overall interest groups.

Don't get wrapped up in any media; they lie, cheat, and steal the truth. If you didn't see it for yourself, it is irrelevant.

There is a difference between media with people with a left-leaning ideology, and media that coordinate with our government to spread lies.

Right-wing media regularly flat-out lies and invents stories that never happened. Telling people to not get "wrapped up in media" is literally the goal of propaganda, it is attempting to tell people that it is pointless to trust what they see, and they should only react based on what they feel.

And that's dangerous.

Heres the basic rundown the way I see it:

1. Putin wanted to have monopoly on worldwide uranium, used Russian company Rosatom to acquire US uranium mines. 2. Russians working for Rosatom subsidiary start operations to infiltrate a major US company that transports uranium within the US (Transport Logistics International); these Russians start to launder money through their organization using traditional organized crime tactics like bribery and kickbacks (over paying for something, then the person who receives the payments keeps a cut and gives the rest of the extra payment, or “kickback” to the person who overpaid in the first place.) 3. FBI is doing investigation on #2 by 2009. Arrests and charges were brought in Aug 2014. 4. Russian company, Rosatom, tries to purchase a Canadian company (Uranium One) that owns 20% of uranium mines in US. 5. Hillary Clinton is secretary of state. Many millions of dollars are donated by Rosatom’s board members to the Clinton Foundation.
6. As US govt board (CFIUS* see CFIUS info below) that must approve the uranium company acquisition is debating this, one of two possibilities: A. The FBI/Justice Department told CFIUS and Obama about the corruption investigation and they approved the deal anyway B. The FBI/Justice Department did not notify anyone about the corruption investigation 7. The deal was approved by CFIUS in Oct 2010, despite that Rosatom is known to our gov’t to be engaged in widespread corruption within the same industry. 8. Despite that the deal contained assurances that the uranium mined from the mines would not leave the US, later uranium from these mines did leave the US. 9. The FBI informant who make the investigation in #3 possible had a gag order put on him by the FBI/Justice Dept/Obama admit to prevent him from talking to Congress or anyone about what he knew while CFIUS was considering the acquisition. That gag order was lifted last week by Trump to the informant can speak with Congress.
