I plan on reading over "Enders Game" and "Dune" again in the coming months, I highly suggest them for the logic and philosophical lessons.
Also if you're into Manga I also highly recommend reading "Berserk," it's grim-dark with incredibly detailed art. And the journey's and travels of the Black Swordsman are excellent as well, the bad guys in the manga are worth hating and forgiving at the same time.
I just finished reading Heart-Shaped Box by Joe Hill, the same author of Horns. But back in school my favorite author was Sarah Dessen. Fuck me, I liked reading chick lit, okay?

Fahrenheit 451, the martian, Song of Ice and Fire (Game of thrones for the non-intellectuals) animal farm, 1984, 2001 a space odyssey, To kill a mockingbird. A lot of these are read in high school but they are just so damn good.
I spam the forums to raise my post count, like most people.

The most recent series I read was Asoiaf (Game of thrones), which I did so twice because I love that series.
But now I'm catching up on the Dark Tower series from Stephen King. Loving it, they are fantastic books. Fantasy mixed with a western, in stephen kings style? Hell ya.
Maybe after I'll try and read Lord of the Rings again, but I honestly couldn't get by all the singing, dancing and tomfoolery that the hobbits go to in the first book.

The Senate: Did you ever hear the tragedy of Darth Plagueis The Wise? Anakin: No The Senate: I thought not. It’s not a story the Jedi would tell you. It’s a Sith legend. Darth Plagueis was a Dark Lord of the Sith, so powerful and so wise he could use the Force to influence the midichlorians to create life… He had such a knowledge of the dark side, he could even keep the ones he cared about from dying. Anakin: He could actually save people from death? The Senate: The dark side of the Force is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be unnatural. Anakin: What happened to him? The Senate: He became so powerful… the only thing he was afraid of was losing his power, which eventually, of course, he did. Unfortunately, he taught his apprentice everything he knew, then his apprentice killed him in his sleep. Ironic. He could save others from death, but not himself. Anakin: Is it possible to learn this power? The Senate: Not from a Jedi.

I also loved "Game of Thrones". For those of you that did you should also check out the "Throne of Glass" series by Sarah j Maas it's about a female assasin pretty good worth the read.

Oh yea, and from the same author (and universe) are the Dunk and Egg books. There are three of them right now, and they are a lot easier to digest (see: shorter and less characters) than the main Asoiaf series. If you are interested in the books, and want an idea of what they may be like, I'd suggest reading the Tales of Dunk and Egg.
