Someone (NOVAK1N) already / suggested the same idea on the forum however Dyno stated that the "plugin isn't feasible" due to players (without a mic) that is found here

Or instead of a plugin just add it as a rule. Keep it in mind for the admin meeting next time and just deal with it until then. Just an idea.

This isn't, or well shouldn't be a reoccurring issue anyways, just continue to fire any warden rather than suggesting all these unneeded plug-ins who is considered to be "warden hogging" or not doing a very good job at warden e.a not progressing the round, trolling, generally not following given rules as a CT or is just new to the server, otherwise if the T's very clearly like x as warden then it'd be obvious to keep them as warden.

I feel like saying that plugins are "unneeded" isn't necessarily true. If there are rules being created to avoid a specific scenario that could be solved with a plugin, that plugin isn't "unneeded". I'm not stating that it's required, but the only logical reason I've ever seen is Dyno's regarding a microphone. Every other person that's argued against it has had a completely biased opinion that only revolved around them not getting warden as often.

Edit: Now that i'm thinking about it (and reading Dyno's actual post) those things aren't really worries. There's literally already rules that prevent people without mics from being able to be warden



The other portion he was worried about is completely avoided by requiring an input to request warden such as !w.

Again, doesn't change my life no matter what you guys decide, i'm just trying to make sure the people who are requesting the addon actually have the fodder they need to provide a real argument rather than just being told no with no chance to rebuttal.

I don’t think a plugin to prevent warden hogging is really necessary.

But if a system is added I think the best way would be to allow people to use !w after warden is taken in order to reserve warden for themselves the next round. The person who is currently the warden wouldn’t be able to reserve it the next round but would still be able to take it the next round if nobody had reserved it. Only one person can have warden reserved at a time, it wouldn’t be like a queue system where a line of people builds up waiting to be warden. I don’t know how hard this would be to make and I don’t really see any need for it at all, but just some thoughts.

These all sound like subjective scenarios that require whatever admin is on to do their job and make sure things run smoothly. Plugin is just complicating things unnecessarily.
