When I joined this clan, August 19th, it was the best birthday present I had (cheesy much, Zero? I know ). It was a group of friends who I could play videogames with all the time! I want to say the clan had a good 100 people in it, and they were very welcoming, very nice, and heck, some even better than my friends in real life. Over the past month or two, I have noticed so many things that disrupted the balance of this perfect utopia...
Member to regular player/memberr: Recently, I have noticed new clan members joining and thinking, "boom! I'm in the clan, I can now do whatever I want!" That's not how it works. I love you guys... All of you! But when you say call people retards, fags, assholes, and anything in between, I lose my faith in you. And about the regular players, when you disrespect them, and they rage because "this server is awful," you just drove away a potentially very nice and cool kid.
Admin to regular player/member: Admins: YOU ARE NOT THE LAW, NOR ARE YOU ABOVE IT. You set the example, by following the rules, not making them! If I had a dollar for every time I have heard an admin slay for something that could either be perfectly fine (i.e. a rule had recently changed) or that an admin was just plain wrong and then completely denying it, I'd probably have a good sum of money in my pockets. When I joined, the admins were friendly and didn't need to be slay-happy to get shit done... and it doesn't need to change just because our server is more popular now.
Disrespect: Yes, this needs a whole section. I go to school every day, hearing people say fag or that's so gay without thinking. I'm bisexual, how do you think that feels? Not too great. So if someone has a learning disorder and you call them a retard, or they have anger issues and you want to have admins shit fury on them because of it instead of helping them deal with it, or you say they are fucking horrible at counter-strike: source when they are trying their best to be just as good as you, how do you think they'd feel? Not too great.
I guess my point is: Be nice, be welcoming, be considerate, treat your fellow players equal, and finally, THINK BEFORE YOU ACT.
Zero this has been adressed by so many posts already but yes thank you for telling us, and i completely agree that there is a problem with members disrespecting each other and thinking they are the rules and they know how its done...
I'm going to address each part apart from one'n'other.

Yes, I've seen this too. A lot of people I had actually NEVER seen in our CS:S Jailbreak server or any other server, all of a sudden they're in the clan and they're new and... one last thing? THEY'RE COCKY. As Zero said, They think "BANG! I'm above EVERYONE MOFO NORMAL PLAYAZZ!!!1!1!!"... WRONG, Dead wrong. Note to all the recruits, and even some new members that got accepted at the last meeting; You are not above the law, you are there to enforce it! You are there to be the influence on the other players. Now, respectfully saying that, there will be people older (such as 18-19) where their main thought of mind when they get on the internet is "I DONT GIVE A FUCK" and they just break all the rules no matter how well of an influence on them you are. You allow admins to deal with them. You set the influence for other people, as a clan (and a server) that accepts younger people (Rule: No discrimination of ANY kind!), this means there will be younger people on the servers and in the clans. Its a proven fact that younger kids take very well off of influence. So, if you set the good example, then they are going to follow you. So, bottom line for this response... be the good example, don't be the poisoning example to the servers/community.

Well said Zero, and I'd like to not modify what you said but only add onto what you said as an agreeing addition. So, I've seen a lot of admin's stepping over higher admins. I've seen a lot of admins dealing with situations wrong. and yes, I've had to pull people aside and say, "Hey, I was dealing with that situation and you didn't need to step in when I had it under-control. Especially, when I am a higher admin then you." When I say "I'm a higher admin then you" I don't mean to sound power hungry, but it is a Admin Rule, that if there is a higher ranking admin then you let them deal with the situation.

but the main point in this paragraph is that, because you are an admin.. You're there to protect the people not having fun. Not make fun for yourself.

I'll be straight with you, for the past 2-3 years I've questioned my sexuality. I lean more towards straight but trust me there are some sexy guys out there ;). Now, does that change me because I can say a guy looks sexy? Fuck no. I am me, Alex. So, I know where you come from. For awhile, I presented myself (to myself) as Bi-Sexual. but after a while, I did do some thinking and I now lean to straight but I can say a guy looks good without hesitation. Again, I see where you're coming from when you say it hurts when people say "Fag" or "Ew, That's gay". I've been there, felt that. When I get on here, yes I do say "Faggot", mostly out of rage though or just joking like with NubCakes or Admiral. Nothing serious, like "Ew, That's gay" or "You're a tripleF" (Fag for Forever, if you didn't know what that means.) Now, When I do get on here I will joke around with that word, but only when I know the other person will not get offended. Like sometimes, when I'm in teamspeak, and I don't know if they will get offended or not, I just don't use it. So, overall.. I see where you're coming from when you say that it hurts to hear someone call something "gay" even though there are many other descriptive words that could be more properly used.

This....This is a great way to end the post. To kinda sum it all up and I can't say it better. A lot of people take the EgN| tag for granted, thinking they have more power. But they don't, we all need to be careful of what we say to each other.
EgN| xUnderCoverx: What is this? A domestic relationship? EgN| Elly: No, just abusive.

“I don't care if you're black, white, straight, bisexual, gay, lesbian, short, tall, fat, skinny, rich or poor. If you're nice to me, I'll be nice to you. Simple as that.”-Eminem One of the best things Eminem has ever said. Definitely the way people should live their lives. Always give people that chance, because you never know, maybe that person will be your best friend.
