Not sure why everyone is arguing about this. It's a pretty simple decision, and Kharn even stated the other option up front.
So what everyone is trying to say is that they disagree with private channels and would rather have people just buy another teamspeak for their personal use? That's essentially what it boils down to. We can either: A. rent out a channel to someone for some high price and use that money to keep the servers up for another month, or possibly even upgrade the servers, or B. let said person buy an entire teamspeak server for less and just completely stop using our services that everyone donates for. We looked at the options and simply concluded that it's beneficial to EgN to just rent out channels to people if they want to feel special. It helps with donations and encourages people to use our Teamspeak. Otherwise we might end up like EmD and have a teamspeak that's normally populated with 1-2 people lol.

To many Ts3 channels can be a bad thing cause people only go chill in there own channel and hardly come out of it
Then so be it. It's their social life if they want to isolate themselves. They paid for a channel, so they can isolate the hell out of themselves and it won't bother me.

Yeah, people can get mad all they want. It's your channel. Whatever you say goes.
Pretty much this...

Doesn't help on the rare occasions I do go on TS every channel is password protected or I don't have permission to join either.
I count 4 out of 38 channels that are password protected. That's not a lot. As far as permissions go, I think the only ones you can't just randomly join are Kharn and Doldol's personal channel (which are normally used for dealing with situations), and the personal channels (not counting higher-ups) assuming they don't want you to join. Other than that, the "Table for X" channels limit how many can be in there at one time. If you're having permission problems then talk to Doldol or Kharn so they can sort it out.

The cliques in this clan are very real.
So are the ones in real life. Cliques aren't necessarily bad. It's simply a group of people that like to hang out around each other and share a common interest (probably a certain game). I'm pretty sure you hang out with a certain set of friends, which can probably be considered a clique by some. If you don't, then you're probably part of a small minority of people that just roam the Earth and meet new faces then move on. I don't think I've come across a group of people in the Teamspeak that weren't willing to talk to you simply because you're not in the clique.

It's a known fact that whenever you get a channel, you isolate yourself from every other channel, which was the whole reason why private channels were a no-no for just a month ago.
You don't have to get a personal channel to isolate yourself. You can simply just sit in the CSGO channel all day and not talk to people outside of it. Same thing. It's more of a personal choice whether you decide to isolate yourself from others, but then it's also their choice and social life. We don't have rules to force people into being social. In fact, we don't even have rules that state you have to be in TS when playing games, or you have to post X amount of posts in a week. The day we make rules that state "You may only stay in a certain TS channel for X amount of time" is the day I leave this clan.

Better yet, you could always mute your sound, or the people who are "trolling" for example, Dave spams stupid sounds half the time, so you mute that fag or just mute your sound in general
I always tell people this. If you don't want to hear certain people, then just mute them in TS. Everyone should have that permission. It only mutes that person to you and nobody else. I even use it....

There was no posts anywhere regarding why Dexie is not longer in the clan, just a change to his recruitment status.
Sometimes when an event like that happens and you get demoted people simply quit the community through anger. I don't know any specific reason why he left other than getting demoted.

But no meeting notes are posted for me to review. This was just one example of recent items where there was no real postings on whats happening.
That's actually a good point you brought up. Normally there's a post regarding all the topics that were covered in the meeting. In fact, I don't remember seeing a recap of the past few meetings. I'll talk to Kharn and we'll work on getting those out next time.
All in all, I don't see why everyone is so upset. You can argue for days, but it won't change our decision. The moment we start getting too many donations for channels is the moment we re-evaluate all of this. At the same time, I kind of hope that happens. Then Doldol can get his unmanaged dedicated server to migrate everything on to :) On the flip side, if people stop donating for channels, then we'll be right back to where we started. I'd like to just see where this goes.
