Fusion is the most stable form of energy. My uncle is working on fusion reactors that use HYPER powered lasers to blast the atoms with energy to cause the reactions. There has been success, but to my knowledge it is very unstable and it could only be active for fractions of fractions of a second before the energy ceased. If there was a way to fully control the fusion reaction, there would be no more need for energy sources from fossil fuels or fission.
