Elevated Gaming Network :: View topic - LR games with "no rules"

During a Shot4Shot today, a T picked the LR and immediately said "no rules", so I knifed him to death and got slayed for freekilling.

When I asked about it I was told "it's still a gun fight". I call bs :/ This kind of fits in with the discussion about cheating, so please clarify.

To be honest I would take that as smart assery.

Oh yeah fren you were slayed about half way thru next round because the admin menu was messed up and I didn't have my admin until next round
In the demo you will be able to see me trying out admin commands but nothing working. It just randomly popped up during the round

No rules doesnt mean completely disregard the initial game. No rules usually means you can heal or get as close as you want to shoot or run away. I dont know thats just my take on it personally. You basically took it to the extreme. But I also think you should have been warned/talked to.

I mean, no rules means you can do whatever right? I would be fine with it, I mean a little bit smart ass, but I don't think it should warrant a slay without warning.

No rules means no rules..... His own fault if he doesn't think enough about it. Should say "Only guns. No other rules" I would have knives him as Well. Should be more careful with what u say for rules. No rules=everything alowed

Personally I think you shouldn’t get a knife in the first place and that this is an inconsistency with the LR plugin. Pretty much any other LR either strips you of your knife or will automatically abort for cheating if you attack with a weapon outside of the one used in the game. I’m not sure why you would need a knife for shot for shot and I think using it would be against the point of LR. You chose to have a gun fight, not a knife fight. I think it’s definitely borderline smartassery to say “No rules” and then use a knife just because you technically aren’t even doing shot for shot anymore, you are rushing the CT with a knife which would normally be taken as rebelling. Unless there is something I an missing I don’t think you should even be given a knife in shot for shot anyways.
