Post subject:  Regarding orders

This is something that's been bugging me recently. Earlier in the day (or rarther late yesterday for me at the time of writing this), a warden gave an order telling T's on electric razor to type in chat their favorite barn animal, and then after that told them to crouch to the front of big cage while making the noise of their animal,
which resulted in one T having to be muted because of them putting "Snake" as their favorite barn animal and then hissing into their mic as they moved as well as one T stopping because he had to type "bark" in the chat before crouching towards the cage again since they didn't have a mic. And then afterwards, another CT tried to do this before I told him not to do that because then it would cause T's to be breaking the "Do not spam" rule. My question is: can we make it an official rule that warden can't give orders for T's to say something into their mics that would result in them mic spamming?

Spam aside, seems kind of degrading. Not sure how or why but it just does. I think an order like that should be refusable, also orders requiring T's to address the warden in a certain way. It's not a real prison with corrupt jailers lol, kind of ruins the spirit of the game style.

You can't order a T to break server rules as an order... that just falls under the don't be an asshole generic rule. This order is obviously just to spice things up and try to get some fun in the server, but is not enforceable in any way.

So 1) either make it so people aren't spamming the noise
or 2) prevent this order from being given

Ultimately, the order(s) would be refusable / unfair; hence, the T’s wouldn’t have to abide by the wardens orders besides crouching to big cage. As for the T getting muted, now I wouldn’t have muted the T myself (solely because I’d find it not particularly necessary unless people are complaining) though after all, an admin is entitled to mute any T that is perhaps micspamming despite whether or not it’s intentional, and the T should have thought whether or not their mic was going to carry over as micspam before proceeding to interpret their animal sound.

Mainly up to the admin’s discretion at the time.

isn't this the same as having an animal day?
it doesn't sound as progresing the round in any way, and only seems to make a simple order (crouch to big cage) very hard and just anoying. in my view it should not be allowed for the mic spam and chaos it can cause for there will be people that will take thise way to far and yell into mics and stuff.

See, that's what I was worried about. Thankfully, people on the T-side were smart and didn't listen (well, except for the guy who said Snake and started hissing, but he seemed to be having problems with spamming since he got kicked for spamming before that by an admin)

Also, given what Yiggles and Needy said, I know that it's considered against the rules already, but I'm worried about someone saying "It's not in the rules, so it's fine" or "i'm not being an asshole, I'm being a warden. You're just getting mad"

It's up to the admin. If the order is causing players to spam, that is against the rules because No Spamming is a server rule. So yes, it is in the rules.
