With the meeting coming up I figured I could make a thread to talk about possible rule changes in jailbreak. This isn't the official meeting thread, but I think this could be beneficial to get ideas more organized for the meeting. With summer coming up soon we're going to be expecting a higher population on the servers, so this is our time to grow as a community by improving gameplay and member to random interaction. Just to keep it a little more organized here, I made a template for your suggestions, but they are not required. What rule/change you're proposing: Reasoning behind this change: Thanks in advance for your input :) |

Guess I'll go first :^) I'd like to propose longer round times for the server, it would give CT's more reason to make rounds more wholesome at the same time discouraging constant mindless rebellion from the T's as they would have to stay dead longer. I see how this could make delaying rounds more annoying, but with more enforcement from admins on not delaying rounds I think it could be dealt with pretty easily. My 2nd suggestion would be to enforce CT's playing their role with mic checks. Everyday on jailbreak there's a few decent CT's and a few shit ones, and most of the time the shitty ones have no mic and don't communicate with their team. This usually means they arent confronted openly in situations that show that they know the rules, and often mistakenly freekill and lie when questioned. |

These are both good ideas, and I can attest that longer round times do encourage t's to cooperate (in order to stay alive). Also since jailbreak is a place where creativity and originality shines, its important for EGN to emphasize that creating fun rounds for both t's/ct's is the goal of each round. The current time restraints (along with mic spam over warden) often keeps a warden from attempting any original games and they end up just doing parkour, math, last reaction, soccer, and other boring shit that we have all done a thousand times. Also this is not a rule Per Se but I think admins need to be more willing to give full round mutes to people that incessantly spam, and delay the round. mute the individual not the team |

Change the baiting rule already. If CTs enter a specific area where the Ts are told to be, the Ts should be able to kill the CT without any repercussions. This would reduce the amount of CTI and CT trolling. IE main cell pit on carceris, or within game areas. |

But it's the admins job to stop CTs for standing too close to the Terrorists for an extended period of time. |

You do realise that the meeting coming up is only a monthly meeting, where Kharn discusses the state of the servers and any changes to them, not the rules itself, in which rule changes is in Admin Meetings. |

This is the only time we have to propose ideas to multiple staff+ that can be added on the spot. |

Going Undercover I get messaged by players that they need an admin that people are mfking and disrespecting, but when i join everyone thats doing it stops or leaves because an admin joins. I try to report with information but it gets denied. This would make it easier to crack down on people that are breaking the rules when admins aren't on. |

I like the idea but our purpose as admins is to maintain order in the server, not just to punish players. I think we'd have to be careful in recognizing if a player is intentionally just breaking rules when admins arent there as opposed to just not understanding them. |

TBH most of the time the servers are extremely fun when no rules are being enforced. It's very rare that it gets too out of hand. And if it does we can always do a ban request on forums. Having random undercover admins seems like too much. |
