As the new manager of surf, i believe we can get this sever going with some new and creative ideas. I still need help with a few things before we can get this server online to the whole clan. If anyone wants to, or can assist with making sure the server is running well and to do some beta testing, that would be great. Also, if someone can give me a refresher on how to exactly work the servers, that would be cool. Ive created multiple servers back in the day, but i used some old shit that is no where like this. So if you have ideas, maps, suggestions, etc. put them in the comments below. Hopefully we can populate and make this server fun for all! ~ Gold |

If you need help with something, just ask any manager or someone you know definately has experience managing a server. Not sure what the deal is with Anstrez and how things are going to work, but if you definately are the manager then ask for the manager usergroup on the forums, so you get access to the manager section so you can ask for help there. Also i'd take advice from that previous thread Anstrez made. Up to you what you want to do but if I were you, definately keep it as a DM Surf at least. Idm if you add rpg or not. |

-no auto bhop -new maps would be great *ehm* great river xdreamz *ehm* Just keep the server basic like dm (please don't do anything like rpg it ruins the game for others) If you need a hand let me know I'm always willing to and I have been dying to see this server run functionally for a while now. |

Okay okay okay, So got into CS:S by playing combat surf back in the day, so safe to say I FUCKING LOVE SURF. I'm really bad at it but still. Personally what i think makes a great combat surf server (If you where going down that route, rather than skill surf) is a plain server, made so its easier to surf but not too easy. The maps should be maps that reward better surfers and have cool secrets. A personal favourite is forbidden_ways_reloaded found here http://gamebanana.com/maps/137826. And that's pretty much it. Maybe a store that rewards players with credits for playing on the server longer meaning it gives players a reason to come back and play more (And check out EgN) but that isn't really necessary. I just really hope you guys get this right because if you do you've got a constant player right here :D P.S with what JT said about the RPG element, i think that just over complicates things. I don't like them but hey that's my option so yeah :) |
