From jump scares to super creepy NPC models, Outlast scares the other horror competition out the window. Outlast is considered a First Person Horror Survival game, and has been one of the most popular horror games on Steam next to Amnesia. You play as Miles Upshur, a freelance investigative journalist, whose curiosity will put him through a hell and a half. Upshur decides to investigate a psychiatric hospital called Mount Massive Asylum, residing in the lower mountains of Lake County, Colorado. Upshur must go through rigorous and frightening tasks in order to not only escape, but to tell the truth about this insane asylum.
