The picture above shows the ocean, which in fact is completely frozen. America is currently at a really bad state in its conditions, and you guys who are apart of these conditions, take care of yourself and be safe. It's that bad that they're warning people not to even breathe when they're outside, as this weather can actually freeze your lungs. 11 people die across the Midwest because of this weather, and hopefully no more.

It's that bad, that the video below captures a man, holding a pan filled with boiling hot water, throwing it in the air outside and immediately turns into snow.

Here is a picture, of Chicago River which was pictured yesterday that was completely frozen, ice covering the top of the river.

Here are a few points recorded from the news article:
  • At least, recording 12 people have died due to the cause of record-breaking low temperatures which are deemed to continue throughout the week, causing havoc across the midwest.
  • Temperatures have plunged as low as -42F in Park Rapids, Minnesota and -31F in Fargo, North Dakota. As well as -51F wind chills.
  • More than 2,600 flights have been cancelled (as expected) largely from Chicago, which is in all accordance to FlightAware. Who wouldn't expect less.
  • Officials have sent out an alert that temperatures will become more life threatening during the weeks progression.
  • The forecast have advised against deeply breathing outside, and have sent out a warning that if so, frostbite can occur within a matter of seconds.

Spoiler: Show

Just to clarify, this is just a neat property of water mostly (that happens when it's cold). If you took a normal, room-temperature pot of water it wouldn't instantly freeze when being thrown.

Actually pretty bad for O’Hare considering it’s where more than half of people’s flights take place, and is the middleman for all airports across the US
