In this case teacher was even a police officer. Imagine people with even less training doing this. Definitely won't cause more accidents.... Obviously this will be solved by getting more guns. |

At least something is being tried. People come up with ideas and don't put them into action. In a way, I see arming teachers as both smart and distasteful. But I'm going to go out on a limb and assume that you want nothing to be done about the massive increase in school shootings. Would you like to arm teachers with wet towels to slap the shooter's ass and tell him to get back in his seat? The only way to stop a bad guy with a (loaded) firearm is a good guy with a firearm. If you ask me, I think that conceal carry should be as pushed as it is in Texas. No one is going to pull a glock out when you have my fellow cowpoke with the shotguns and ARs on their backs. Seriously, everyone is afraid to draw on anyone because practically everyone in Texas has a firearm. Texas is best state. I don't know what you are suggesting other than providing teachers with firearms will solve nothing. But you got to realize that it's a plausible solution and can definitely turn the tide on potential shooters. What happened with that video was a tragic accident and you can't base that the entire concept is bunked because of said accident. P.S. There is a heck load of evidence to go against that line of thinking of yours and you should be more open to ideas to learn from mistakes (such as the one in the video) |

The part of the US constitution that this is referring to is the second amendment right? That means that it can change. It can be altered, it does not have to stay the same way it is now. Oxford Dictionary Definition of Amendment: A minor change or addition designed to improve a text, piece of legislation, etc. And Theron, no disrespect to you at all, or to anyone at this point. But I do live in Aussie land, and I feel safe, I don't on a regular basis, or on any basis see a weapon of war in my life, I feel safe that way, and if no one has them, then I don't need one to defend myself! That is how I view it, and I believe that quite a few people, hell a lot of people in the US are trying to change the second Amendment to stop mass shootings and such. But that's my two cents worth. Remember this quote by Bertolt Brecht: Because things are the way they are, things will not stay the way they are. |

Stick to European policy if you are not a US citizen and don't get the privileges we were allotted by the Constitution as American citizen. Guns are not the thing you want to debate on the forums to a bunch of US citizens. ESPECIALLY, law abiding citizens. Although, with PROPER AND HEAVY training some teachers could do this just fine, every liberal is running with this as arming all teachers and it is not... Also, Twitch videos are bad references for "valid arguments" because of a lack of actual data. The fact that dude was giving his OPINION instead of what actually is going on shows a line of thinking that is "group think" The video you posted was a shit cop giving a piss poor lesson on guns. I don't understand how in a country of 327.16 million citizens, you start touting off GUN CONTROL when less than a fraction of a fraction of that population is doing dumb shit to get their guns taken away. The problem lies with states not properly submitting background checks and not prosecuting people who shouldn't buy guns that are attempting to buy guns. Also, the shear amount of ILLEGAL/BLACK MARKET guns going around. Bad people will get anything they want to commit bad things. The only thing to stop bad people are good people with good intentions and strong resolve than the Parkland School Officer. No one is amending the constitution to appease half the country (let alone European countries), while the other half has done ABSOLUTELY NOTHING WRONG. I could go on and on about WHY we have guns and WHY we deserve them as a RIGHT in the United States, but I am not sure you would get it or care because you don't live here and don't live our lifestyle. So I recommend we don't talk about POLITICS AND GUN CONTROL on the fucking forum because you are just going to piss a lot of people off and divide the community Get outta here with that "trying to stir the pot" shit, Doldol... |

Let's get this straight. Because of course, this is again FAKE NEWS First of all, there were no injuries. The student (not three) had superficial injuries. That could mean something as dumb as ringing ears. Second of all, people are saying "imagine what worse could have happened", as if he had actually shot someone negligently. What they are failing to "imagine" is the possible lives saved by thousands of teachers being allowed to carry if they choose to protect their students. Classic leftist style to just dump some anti-gun garbage as a "statement" and be like "LOOK SEE?>??!!!!!?!?!111" You're fake news! |

Other students experienced ringing ears, which when from a gunshot usually means hearing damage. Every student in the classroom saw one of their classmate get harmed by gunshot shrapnel. Saying that there were no injuries is exponentially more false than anything contained in the video. Congratulations, you've been fooled by propaganda. Now, are you going to admit you were wrong and move on, or double down because you are unable to admit you were fooled? |

Temporary ringing ears is not an injury. Your ears will ring after listening to music, riding in a car, going to a concert, or from anything loud. A single shot does not cause permanent hearing damage. If they come back in a week and they are still ringing THEN you could say they have hearing damage. As for the dramatic "OMG SHRAPNEL LODGED IN HIS JUGULAR VEIN" Attachment: DYPnq3IWAAApIVA.jpg Give me a break. He's posing for a fucking photo. Superficial. Congratulations, you've been fooled by sensationalist media phrasing. Are you going to admit you're overreacting? Or double down to try and hold your moral high ground on no foundation?
