So apparently, FusionFall is making a comeback in the form of FusionFall Retro. http://www.fusionfallretro.com/ For those of you unfamiliar, FusionFall was basically an MMORPG game developed by Cartoon Network, which allowed players to fight baddies alongside their favorite Cartoon Network characters. In the last couple of years, it's been in development, and I've been keeping a close watch. Seems like the game may be in its final stage of development... I hope. Once development is complete and ready, I'll probably be a ghost on Counter-Strike. |

I didn't know this was popular enough in its day to receive a revive. Cheers though. |

FusionFall existed for only a few years before Cartoon Network decided to unexpectedly pull the plug on the project, leaving tens of thousands of people disappointed. There's well-over a thousand people (including myself) on the FusionFall forum boards anticipating the release. Sadly, there hasn't been a developer's blog update since August 15th, but I'm hoping by the end of the year, FusionFall comes back full force. The delays are getting aggravating now. |

Central wrote: Wtf is fusionfall Besides being an MMO, the premise of the game is that you run around and shoot baddies with laser cannons and customizable weapons, which gives you experience points to rank up. Under normal circumstances, this probably wouldn't be too popular since there's literally hundreds of RPGs like this, but what made FusionFall unique was that it was developed by Cartoon Network, and allowed players to explore different Cartoon Network universes. (Dexter's Lab, Courage the Cowardly Dog, Ed Edd N Eddy, etc.) With every boss battle, you were rewarded with a Nano, which are mini versions of cartoon characters with special powers. The game may sound complicated, but it was pretty addicting. |
