Looks like after 32 years, Microsoft will no longer support MS Paint.

I like paint, and use it for quick edits / screen shots and stuff like that, it doesn't eat up a lot of resources and doesn't have many features, so it opens quickly.
But I guess I'll just have to use one of the many other much better applications. Still, sad to see it go! (though it'll still be around, just not updated).

But the real implications are, what will happen to the memes? How can we have memes without a crappy image editor? How will old memes somehow look older without a lossfull image editor? Are grainy memes finally going away?
We shall see in the coming meme wars.

Yeah, that's why they're retiring MS Paint, 3D is the "new paint".

Like, how could we possibly have made all those sick sigs ya'll are using without the power of MS paint?
Truly the greatest loss of 2017-07-24

This is a real shame to hear considering that I used to use Microsoft paint for a lot of things. It was in fact the first application I used when I first started learning the basic`s photo shopping during my early college years. Sometimes however I still use it from time to time to easily save and transfer screenshots and for just some simple memes. It was such an easy application to use and very easy and quick to get the hang of once you knew what you were doing plus it also came in handy for additional things such as coursework in the past. Think it`s a real shame there killing it off especially after 32 years. I`m not surprised Microsoft keep on losing so many of there customers if there going to keep killing off the best applications that there customers have loved using for over the past decade.

There really starting to go downhill lately. I guess though nothing can be done as technology is always advancing and we just have to accept the great loss of a legendary application. But in saying that this doesn`t mean it has to be the end for Microsoft paint for you as you could easily just download paint from the internet and put it on a flash drive , so that then you could use it anywhere you like. Either way though this is going to be a huge miss.

Are they removing it from Windows operating systems?

Technically yes it`s being removed from the operating system once the new Windows 10 update comes out this fall. However though it shouldn`t effect those who use Microsoft paint on previous version's of Windows etc 7 and 8. Like I said though if you want to go back to it you can always download it from the internet and put it onto a flash drive.
