In November eve is gonna introduce a f2p aspect to the game. I never played it before so i was gonna try their 14day free trail to see if i liked it, i was wondering if anyone else wanted to play useing a trail or if u already have an account.

I played the trial before. Controls are a bit finicky imo and wasn't too keen. Apparently the community isn't great either. Like if you're participating in a massive battle, your teammates will shoot you down for targeting the wrong person, or at least thats what i've heard anyway.

Much prefer Elite Dangerous and similar mmos

it's going to take more than 14 days to get into anything serious in EvE
Its massive and you can do some fun things if you get into it.

I have an account, and when I first started playing it I played it for 3 months straight. It's a wonderful game, with a shit ton of depth and freedom. However, it is probably the most time consuming game on the planet. If you want to progress you have to spend a ridiculous amount of time in the game. It's also an extremely social game. Most of the fun you can have in the game requires that you're in a populated corp with a bunch of active players.

The best aspect of it is that almost the entire game is player driven. Then entire economy, for example, is by players. There is no NPC that you can buy things from. Anything you ever buy in that game you're buying from another player; that player either got the item from salvaging, from killing another player, bought it themself, or they actually took the time to get the mining resources (and industry skill level) to create the item on their own. Beyond the economy, Eve is so player driven that there are actual well-known historic events that occurred entirely due to players, such as massive PvP battles between corps that were so large and influential they impacted basically the entire game, including the players that didn't take part in the battle.

I'd say it's an amazing game but 14 days isn't enough unless they givw you like a dream account. That reverts back to level 1 after 14 days so you can see what you can earn
