I am currently striving to return back into Counter Strike: Source. However, I am experiencing a complication that has been occurring for the past year. To simplify the problem: Vertical movement within the game of CS:S is extremely slow. Horizontal movement remains correct however. Occurs only in game and not on the menu. This dilemma occurred randomly slightly over a year ago. No changes within console nor settings were executed. I have deleted and reinstalled the game several times, tried several different mice, changed settings, and tried several different codes within console in attempt to reestablish normal mouse movement. Obviously, all resulted in no success. In addition no other games experience this glitch such as the Call of Duty series, Counter Strike 1.6, BFBC2, Assassin's Creed, GRiD, L4D2, etc. All advice and assistance is greatly appreciated. Also to all new members within the past year and a half, hello I am Quik. |

Hey Quik, I'm Squirt. All I can thing of is verifying your game cache in CS:S's properties, but you probably already did that. |

Only thing I can think of (since you reinstalled already) is that you might have controller settings set up and its messing with the sensitivity. Try plugging in a controller and see if different options show up? I dunno, all I know is all my binds are set to controller binds, even though I can still use my keyboard to move around. Also, hello Quick, I am Charlie Kelly, Bird Lawyer |

Also, hello Quick, I am Charlie Kelly, Bird Lawyer I've never used a controller on my laptop so I doubt this would be the case. I have messed with the sensitivity and other aspects thinking that may have been the problem, however it is as if it only affects the horizontal movement. The Y movement remains consistently 100 times slower than that of X movement. Please to meet you and additionally, thank you for staying on topic and attempting to assist me with this aggravating issue. |
