So I had an idea. I think we should make it where members could comment on new recruits applications much like we do on admin applications where only we can see it. The reason being is I have seen a number of recruits join and they are mostly toxic on our servers. It would help influence voting instead of the person only getting a few no's or yes' from people who don't even know the recruit or how they act. Let me know what you think

This will not change the way I vote. I have a specific system. Step one yes no yes no yes no... Step two if recruit has more than 3 bans on record automatic yes. It means they are super fun but know when to draw the line before perm ban or being denied recruit status.

So basically you have a 50/50 chance. Some months I just do all no some months it’s all yes.

To guarantee a yes vote from me go get some bans on your name.

Even if they join and they’re toxic, you control your votes, if people don’t want them in they will vote no, and if they do, vote yes.

Right but the people that actually want to care about who we let in as members could actually look at this stuff and then base their votes on that instead of just saying "eh no on this guy" cause they are members who are never active

I will say that Goop has a point, but we would need to prevent shitposting if this were to be a thing.
Because someone could not like you more than another and just smear and start a thread war between parties...

I could see this getting ugly.
50/50 on this idea.

Yeah that's why you would only be allowed to post constructive stuff and not shit post on it. I honestly don't think it would be too bad if there are rules put in place on what you can post

Guidelines would be ideal, rules are often broken and strictly enforced. It may result in a flurry of forum bans haha

I do like the idea to a point. But, it has it's flaws. If you see a new application and you don't know the person but others have been commenting negative things about them, some may form an opinion of the person without actually giving them a chance.

Well I get that to a point but that's mostly on the person if they take no time to get to know them. Plus if it's all negative then it's probably a good idea to not let them into the community

Well, there are a lot of downsides as much as their is a few upsides of this idea. It's good to have a change, like for existance, the haloween forum theme. It's new [maybe to some people] and people have an opinion about it, good.

I feel as if this idea is put into play, in which I think is never going to happen, people should be obligated to go to a Staff+ member and bring your comment to them, and they can either approve or deny.

Or it could be the same as admin applications, where you can reply but your post will be in a moderation queue for Staff+ to choose whether your comment is on topic and constructive.
