Howdy Team!

First and foremost, our EgN Community Discord Bot is Open Source.

What this means:
--All code is public and reviewable

What this does not mean:
--You can make changes to the live version of the bot at any time
--API/Client/Private keys are public. They are hidden within the environment it runs in.

FEATURES: Note - Not all features may be active. White = ACTIVE; YELLOW = NOT ACTIVE
Spoiler: Show

TO DO:
Spoiler: Show

If you're unfamiliar with GitHub - Basically, you can clone my code to your own environment and try it out yourself. You'll be able to make "Pull Requests" which lets me review all your code changes and decide if it should be in the "MASTER" version. This is the version of the bot that is live on the server.

I'll be updating this main post with ToDo: Stuff. Otherwise, feel free to post suggestions or communicate with me if you are wanting to help with the bot.

What I won't do:
-Teach you how to code

What I will do:
-Help you if you get stuck.
-Point you in the right direction (documentation/stackoverflow/etc)

Assuming you’ll add / work on it eventually but some sort of feature that helps News Team (dedicated text channels that posts current news topics).

Looks sick tho, excited to see it finished up! :P

If we get another API end point for me to check the posts in the news forum (similar to Home Page Announcements) then yes! I just need the data to work with.

Oh yeah not sure how I forgot to mention that. I do have my own test server where I'm testing shit out. Only thing is I'll probably need a different "Bot" to actually host in that server just to avoid issues where the bots would read each other's commands. I'll invite anyone that's interested in helping with the bot to the test server. It's super basic. Just with similar channel names to that of EgN's for testing.

This sounds really cool, Yiggles. I can't wait to see the final result.

We need more Community input! There's currently no other forum APIs for me to connect with, so I'd like feedback from everyone on what they'd like to see from our bot. The Twitch Streaming and Chicken Dinner announcements are available for use, but I'd rather talk with the big guys about if we should. Just don't want them spamming channels and to know where they should post and who would actually qualify to be in the list to be announced.
