Inglourious Basterds is a movie written and directed by Quentin Tarantino that takes place amidst WW2 in France. The plot revolves around an SS Colonel, the Inglourious Basterds (a group of nazi fighting Jewish-Americans) and a young Jewish woman who escapes a certain death from the Jew Hunter. So many plot turns and twists and it's all an insanely joyful thrill ride of cinematic perfection. I'm on my third time watching this movie on Netflix and god damn, if Quentin Tarantino ain't my favorite director. Not only is the writing on point, but it's just the subtle things and also the simplicity of how well they build up tension as you realize certain things are going to happen, and as it clicks, shit hits the fan. Honestly, best fucking movie ever, go watch it somehow if you've never seen it. Please. |

Reservoir Dogs is Tarintino's best imo. Still though, Godfather Part 1 and 2 best movie(s) ever. Highly doubt it would be as great as it was if made today. Perfect cast. Probably the best performance given by Al Pacino especially before he went crazy. And the plot is terrific and speaks volumes! Trying to do what you wanted to do with situation you are forced into, but in the end become something that you swore you'd never be.... |
