Probably in my top 5 Marvel Universe movies. Not perfect, but they did a super good job of balancing the humor and darker parts of the story.

My main issue was the villain, Marvel always has the most boring villains, but luckily Hela wasn't the ONLY villain, so there's that.

Jeff Goldblum was amazing

And of y'all see it?

Here's the Half in the Bag review. Mike has superhero fatigue and thought it was mediocre. Jay enjoyed it.

It was a good movie. The Austrian directory did very well playing Korg. 10/10

The director played Korg? That's hilarious.

I wanna see it but they incorporated Hulk in the wrong way and isn't true to his lore. For example in the movie Hulk is Grandmaster's prize fighter, this is false. Originally Silver Surfer is Red King's (not the Grandmaster's) prize fighter but because of copyright from fox they weren't allowed to include him in the movie. Originally Hulk is implanted with an obedience disk that he slowly fights out of as he's becoming the champion on Sakaar. In the movie they make it seem like he doesn't want to leave which is untrue. Also Hulk never turns into Bruce Banner while in space on planet Sakaar until he makes his way back to earth. Idk I'm a huge Hulk fan so I was kinda mad they shoehorned all this in while they shutdown any plans of a Planet Hulk movie. All that aside I still wouldn't mind seeing it.

You know, I hear you, I really do, but honestly can you name a Marvel movie where they've been completely true to the lore?

I have a friend who was legitimately upset that GotG 2 fucked up the story line for Star Lord's father, but it's like, this is just what Marvel Studios does.

Disregarding that, I think the movie was really strong. Sure, not a perfect adaptation, but adaptations can never copy the source material directly.

I'm not disagreeing with you they do always screw it up somehow, but it's more of here lets throw this random Planet Hulk stuff in because we don't feel like making it it's own movie. Like idk just kinda a middle finger to Hulk fans that wanted a real Planet Hulk movie. I'm too anal about comic book movies I guess.
