Any other runners in the clan? I've been running/training on and off for the last couple months. Never was really physically active before, but just finished my first 5k in years since I was a kid. Got a 30 minute time. Interested to see if anyone else here has advice/gear/wants to show off their runs. |

My first 5k, I ended with a time of 24:38. That was back when I used to do something with my life. |

I've been doing alot of running all my life. I'm a really sports kind of guy so i enjoy it alot. For my school i have to run different K's also which lately i finished 8k in 38 minutes. For gear? I usually just get good shoes Asics are good shoes which i always use for running, together with that i mostly use nike gear for my shirt and shorts. ( Let's trough a bit more air then other brands ). My advice: I'd build it up slowly, go check some gear out and see what fits you best. For every sporter the gear differents because some people are used to adidas sportswear and some to Nike. ( Sports gear can be on the expensive side if you want good breathing one's ). Further, i hope you really enjoy the runs and keep building em up. To bad i can't run with you |

These are the shoes I have right now for running, I think I like them. But when you go from Wal-Mart shoes to these it's hard not to. I usually use a cutoff shirt or a muscle shirt when I run. I bought some underarmour running shorts, but didn't realize I should've gotten a smaller size since I've lost weight. I also have an armband for my phone and some basic samsung ear buds that came with it. Short-term Goal: Run 5k, no stops/walks. I might be able to do that now if I pace myself better but I don't want to lose a lot of time. Today I had a 7:44, 10:23, 10:48 pace then sprinted the last ~.15 |

Why run!? Go car racing, then you can claim to be doing a sport and still sit in a chair! |
