Hey guys so, I'm going Florida for two weeks at the end of january to about the 15th of February. I am doing this by myself. I have never flown on a plane or even been to a different country other than france. Let alone and international flight. Im wondering if any of you wonderful people have any tips for first time international solo flyers that could help me. The flight length will be about 13 hours with a 2 hour layover. Also let me know if you want to meet up and i can see when or if we can arrange something. |

Fuck me, 13 hours. Jesus. Well, back in March I was on my very first plane and outside of the country. At first it all seemed a little scary on how fast the plane went to take off and the turbulance while in the air but all will just calm down when you steady in air. I'd take some hard sweets to chew on when you're taking off and landing so you get that calibration in your ears as they'll tend to like, pop from how far you're up in the air and how fast you're going. |

Definitely as Central said, hard lollies. And make sure every few hours you get up and go for a walk. Get the blood flowing. Watching movies if you can, get plenty of rest. And most of all, trust the plane yeah? It'll be all good mate. Have a nice flight. |

You have a layover so it kinda should just feel like a reg flight? Think its like 6 - 8 hrs in the air depending on where u live exactly so you could potentially sleep most of it away and actually get the chance to stretch. When I went to Japan it was like a 10 - 13-hour flight in the air without a layover and once we landed I wanted to die from sitting on a plane so long. |

be at the airport like 3 hours before u need to, if not more. double check everything, lol and no liquids over 3 oz in ur carry on bag |

Fly to Texas!!!!! Also take some benadryl or NyQuil or their equivalents that can knock you out if you suddenly feel like being in the air for so long is kinda bad in your opinion so you can be knocked out. Take a traveler's pillow in your carry on cause you get one shitty pillow. Also, take some snacks with you as youll get a meal or 2 but thats it. They should be able to give you drinks throughout the flight. |
