Well, since you're here, you've already helped me with part one of the experiment. Kudos to you for being a team player.

Secondly, why is it that every time I go to events, it's always the same people showing up? Come on guys and gals, surely there must be something that you would take time out of your day to come and do with the community. So, here I ask, what exactly is it that you all are waiting for? What events would you consider going to?

Third of all, how is it that there are so damned many of you people in this clan but it seems like no matter how much I get around, I only ever see about 10 to 15 of you in any given week? Where the hell are you hiding? I'm not saying everyone should always be on an EgN server or chilling in Teamspeak, but it feels like for as many of you as there are, there.... isn't. What would it take for me to get to know you all better?

Finally, even if it's just a meme response, a quote of someone else's post, or actually a response to some of the things I talked about, please leave a reply to this post down below. It'll help with the last part of my experiment.

And now we wait.

The recent events seem to only be catered to a certain group of people.

There are a lot of people in this clan that are only here for JB and never/rarely go on the forums, TS, discord, etc. Every now and then someone mentions an EgN member and I say "Who the fuck is that?" and they respond with something like "He goes on JB a lot." and I understand because I almost never go on JB. There are also separate EgN social bubbles where people just stick to their own group and don't really deviate much outside of it.

Simply put, there are just wayyy too many events going on and specifically, there are too many events going on for stuff that people clearly aren't interested in. Having too many events devalues the entire concept not only because of saturation, but because it also decreases quality as most events end up being forgotten about until the last minute or don't happen at all. It doesn't make much sense to try to have a ScoutzKnives event, for example, every couple of weeks cause people clearly aren't interested. Obviously, the entire purpose of events is to populate other servers, but when people really don't care or it only creates temporary success, it would be a lot better if this time and energy were spent working on something else. Like a couple people said before in this thread, a lot of these events are designed for a particular "social bubble" and people tend to care even less about these events because they aren't apart of the very specific demographic that the event is intended for.

Spoiler: Show

My point is, spamming events without putting much effort into them aside from the initial post isn't really the best approach, on top of that focusing on doing events that people simply don't care about is just a waste of time. Having only one or two events a month with prizes, reminders/advertisement and having high-quality execution probably would probably be more successful than just nearly flooding the forums with a bunch of events that most people don't care about. I think a good example of a "high-quality" event that people care about would be North's 5v5 tourney, it had a decent turnout and a lot of people seemed to enjoy it, more events like this with less crappy events surrounding would more than likely draw more people and hopefully cause a snowball to be able to successfully create smaller events later on.

I'd suggest doing events for minigames, TTT, 5v5, or maybe even jailbreak just because these are the things that people seem to be interested in.

I also think Staff+ should also go through and remove people from groups (Events, News, Social Media, Dev) who clearly aren't doing anything and probably just thought "I'm gonna join this group so I can get a free promotion" or straight up stopped caring.

I understand your concern about lack of people coming to events etc. Yet I kinda enjoy it with set given group, or even just the amount tbh. There's been multiple occasions that there's been more and more people showing up and all of a sudden you realize they can't keep anything "between the lines". Making sure the event keeps it's point and doesn't run out of hand talking about which hand you're going to perform masturbation with later that night. Cuz that's what it seems to be coming to. As we know, EgN counts numerous of people under the legal drinking age so even drinking events would be rather not looked at. I understand that exceptions could be made for set people, and keep it so everyone can enjoy the event, but that doesn't really work out most of the time.

I'll be honest, I get annoyed really fast by given examples above -> Karaoke event: You got people who always want to sing and barely give others a chance, then get upset because they can't sing. Or the opposite, people get upset cuz they "have to sing" and when you point someone else they say "Oh but it's my turn, don't worry." and then they sing a little skit from some song for 30 seconds and are done with it. That's where it takes away the purpose now.

I don't know. I like certain events going on, I try to attend them myself... And sometimes for different purposes than intended, and I even tell the people in charge of the event that I'll be keeping eyes on the people and have it run semi-succesful when it runs out of hand. I'm never the best person to do this, I'll give y'all that right now. But if nobody wants it to be somewhat running in line then I don't see why you'd take the chances :')

As said and requested we could use more people, meet new people, perhaps even befriend more and more people within the community to join in on events give idea's as Spike asked or even state a reason why you don't want to attend said events. Everyone is free here, don't forget that.

Peace out, boi scout :3

[Also FYI, TTT-Time isn't an event for people wondering. :| it's just a random moment that gets announced because, I mean it's TTT :P]

Well then I reiterate my question.

What events would you like to see?

I thought that the vanilla tournament had a fantastic turn out.
People like to be competitive, people like to trash talk and be better than each other.
More competition events would be premium. People show up when their rep is on the line.
