A rapper by the name of Joyner Lucas came out with a sing titled “I’m Not Racist” about a week or so ago. I just wanted to know your thoughts and opinions on the video.
IF YOU ARE EASILY OFFENDED DO NOT WATCH.

When the white guy raps ITS NOT HIM RAPPING. Some people confuse it.

This video has no hatred meaning behind it, so I hope this won’t go against forum rules.

This video is extremely powerful to the point where the strongest could cry. It’s a beautiful video and it shows how people don’t really understand and know everything. If this video is considered too Racist, a staff can take this down, I’d understand. I just thought people could enjoy this and get them thinking about how shitty humans are and how racism is just plain stupid.

We’re all equal, no matter skin color, beliefs, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, etc. I hope this video will get people thinking...

White guy's arguments focus on the black guys position, and that he got himself in it. Black guys arguments blame white people for his position while playing the victim card. Black guy's arguments are partially correct in that the government keeps them down, which it does. However I think the majority of black people just don't understand what exactly is keeping them down in the first place.

Great video to watch her summarizing my argument

True that. I don't like many rappers at all but he is an exception he raps about important shit in life not about sex weed and alcohol.

We're not, and considering everyone equal would be a mistake. But we all should get the same chances (which we don't atm). We still live in a society with a lot of inequality, but it's better than it's probably ever been, everyone truly has a chance to be whatever they want to be, some just have better chances than others.

But focusing race/gender as the major sources of current day inequality is just wrong. Capitalism counters this.

(Sorry for double post, but it's out of necessity.)

Joyner Lucas has some fire bars.
It covers a lot of issues, which is something a lot of people are blinded to currently.

There can be an understanding, but being white, we can never truly understand what it is like to be black.... And that is just factual. We can try to gain some sort of perspective, but we will never truly know the struggle because white people do get a form of privilege, which is disgusting.

I would never shame my race, nor anyone else's. And I am not upset that I do have certain institutional privileges, but they should be given to everyone. Regardless of race/religion/ethnicity.

It is abhorrent that people still don't understand that we will never truly understand and all we can do is help the healing process between us all.
Love each other. Regardless.
