Hey gals and guys!

As many of you know I am an Assistant District Attorney in Harris County Texas. I'm like the lawyer you see with the cops in Law and order shows. As some know I live in Houston. We got hit bad by Hurricane Harvey and I even had to leave my house due to a mandatory evacuation order. Thankfully nothing happened to my house but Harvey messed up other people's houses and messed up my office. Vice News decided to swing by. I'm actually in the video, but in the background and will have to time stamp it for y'all.

Anyways here is the segment:

They are innocent until proven guilty. It's just that no county has a plan b when a natural disaster strikes and how to operate the criminal justice system in the aftermath of said disaster.

It sucks to see people wait for their court date to be even announced. There'll be innocent people waiting for a court date to arrive for a crime they might've not even committed and yet still get treated like criminals like that guy said to the other guy.

Although there's nothing to help this situation really due to the flooding of the criminal justice center, it'll be really good once everything has been sorted out as soon as possible.

If there is actually proof that this guy is guilty then it's worth it, but why wait so long to actually convict a guy? No evidence of guild, no reason to hold them until there's a substantial amount of evidence or a huge threat of danger.

It sucks for a person being kept in a cell if they're innocent, and if proven innocent, what sorry do they get? "We made a mistake, sorry." Sorry for keeping you in a cell for god knows how long for a crime you did not commit. Sucks
