I've been having some trouble actually playing CSS. I had good fps before, but my fps has majorly gone down for no reason. Even with the lower settings, it's around 17 fps and apparently, bringing up the scoreboard will give me a LAG SPIKE. I've been trying my best to increase my fps, but if it doesn't work. It's gonna be tough to be online a lot. I would love some advice to increase my fps on my Desktop. (dont even dare say to get a new computer. it's not that easy. :( ) Thanks! ^^ |

I suggest using startup commands for maximum FPS settings, Changing your resolution to something smaller, graphics to medium-low. If you don't know what startup commands are, just type in Google "Counter Strike Source startup commands" or something. Should be pretty straight forward from there. |

JT and Caboose's replies will probably help. But that all depends on whats wrong with your game. Is it your hardware thats causing problems cause its outdated, or are you running a lot of stuff in the background etc. |
