Maybe, the map jb_underwater_prison_v4 should be taken down. It is basically an escape map |

The map has been deleted, and will never return to Jailbreak again. Sorry for the terrible map. |

in defense of jb_underwater_prison_v4: sure its not a typical jb map but it still works within the ruleset of jb. obviously cts can never make ts stay underwater when giving orders since that counts as an environmental freekill so you have to give them orders to get out of the slowly submerging map this presents a unique challenge that other jb maps dont have, balancing giving orders and following the established rules of jb while the terrorists try not only to escape and get to the top but kill the cts as well. what this means is that there is a power shift, since cts and ts are in the same (sinking) boat but ts are still protected under prison rules. this means that cts have to work harder, but the overall payoff is worth it since the addition of a new objective beyond just controlling ts makes the end result doubly more satisfactory. not only did you not get ganked by the ts, you also made it out of the death run. the one problem i have with this map though is that once you do get to the top there isn't much to do with the ts, so most people will resort to really boring games to get an lr and the round over with. this means cts actually have to give fun orders when they get to the top to continue that feel of accomplishment and reward, not just orders designed to get lr as fast as possible. i know being creative and interesting can be really hard for a handful of people on this server and is probably why therre is a thread complaining about it.... but FCK YOU!!!! so i guess in summation should this map be in rotation? yes, as it offers a fun and different diversion from the usual tedium that makes it so asshole wardens cant just say "take one step out, face the back of your cell, afk freeze. move to the nearby landmark to reduce rebelling to the lowest possible percentage and freeze. trivia for lr, round over rinse repeat" since this would result in an environmental fk cmon idiots challenge yourself :) |

Underwater is a Minigames map, apart of the old "Escape the Jail" series. This was a huge thing back in my prime as a CSS player. Many maps were created so that rising lava or falling floors would force the T's to the top or bottom of the map, and have an ending goal near the end. The only problem, is that underwater used to be the WORST Escape the Jail map ever. There was no end goal, and only some CT's made it out. Why did we remove it from the rotation? Because literally everyone who was playing on the map said they didn't like the idea of bumping into it again one day. So we retired the map, like we did many years ago. Escape the Jail maps were fun, but people got super bored with them after a while. They began to vanish and then ceased to exist. People didn't find them interesting anymore. Only a few servers still have some Escape maps, but many have deleted them off their rotation, just like we did twice. If you want to enjoy those maps again, make a time machine and go back to 2009, when all of those maps were popular. I remember playing the crap out of those maps on my parents old Gateway computer. It lagged a bit, but it was the time of my life. |

heh you say all that but im pretty sure only the anal wardens dont like it because it doesnt fit their narrow vision of how jb can be played when in fact there are many ways to play jb besides being an anal warden!! anal warden is a funny term and i hope whoever guards my rectum protects me from pen0rz also yeah it was like 2009 when i last played those kinds of maps but they were cool then and they continued to be cool this map actually was one of the better maps because there was a lot of variance in how you can get to the top, with random events like glass walls bursting with water and hallways getting sealed on top of the multiple routes as opposed to what a lot of jb escape maps did which is just an obstacle course with one route this one was more thematic and engaging and the level design was really well done and employed a lot of clever tricks i actually had a friend(matroshka) build a custom escape map for a server i ran and it was dope and everyone loved it having one escape map on the server rotation imho is a good idea and any bitch made noob who complains about it should be shot out of a cannon and onto a safety net so he doesnt break his or her pinky toe edit: terminator wrote: there was an underwater jailbreak map??????? yeah apparently and im fucker furious i didnt get to play on it before it was taken out of rotation all the stuff i am talking about it is based off of fond memories from almost a decade ago double edit: Mr.GoldGames wrote: If you want to enjoy those maps again, make a time machine and go back to 2009, when all of those maps were popular.
