Would it be possible to have private forum sections for members who donate? We have members who have donated for their own TS channel. Would it be possible for members who donate have their own sub forum on the website? eg "MembersName Corner" In which the forum is private and the person has to set permissions for which members can view it and post in it. Additionally with admin privileges to moderate the sub forum? |

Great suggestion. It could get messy for the Staff+, when they view the "Board Index", with a dozen more boards added. |

In theory staff would have the same permissions as everyone else as set forth by the owner so they will not have permission to view the subforum unless granted by the owner. Although I envisage some accountability needed in which case the only exceptions to this would be Doldol & Kharn who would have view permissions. |

No, we will not have privately administered, unmonitored forum sections. It is also technically impossible to give you the permissions to rename the section and description, and to set who has access to it, as this is only possible to set globally for the full forum. Forum moderator basically only allows you to do whatever with posts and threads. |

Thankfully, EGN has a great co-leader who is a programmer who could rewrite code to make this work to allow the clan to get another stream of revenue. I mean physically it is possible. Reddit does it to an extent. They wouldn't be unmonitored though. Yourself and Kharn would be there for full transparency. |

That brings money in though, I don't think Kharn or Doldol is gonna complain about that. Private forum sections won't bring in money, as people don't think "AWWW YEAH LET'S DONATE $30 FOR A FORUM SECTION WITH NOTHING IN IT". It'll be just like the Elite Members section, and probably the Veteran one (which I don't know about), probably empty and a load of shit posts. |
