Sorry if this is the wrong section or if this is covered elsewhere, but I wanted to ask a general question on Ban Follow ups. So obviously I do not have permission to do permanent bans. In my first few days as an admin on our JB server I had a couple of MFKs happen on my watch. Since I was the only admin on it took me longer then I hoped to ban the offender. In one case I panicked typing out the ban and only made it for 100 minutes. I made the ban report and in the title requested it be extended to permanent: viewtopic.php?f=41&t=12965. Today I was looking at the new posts and noticed Synthic submitted an MFK for the same guy, viewtopic.php?f=41&t=13156 Besides me making the ban too short, did I do anything incorrectly in requesting the permanent ban? I am just looking to prevent people who I catch MFKing from returning to the server and causing more problems for our players. Thank you for your time, .Mojo |

No you didn't. It was usually Caboose that dealt with extending bans, but as you have probably noticed, he left. |

Also, we'll normally give Sourcebans access to admins whenever they become an Elite, granting them the ability to extend their own bans to permanent, as well as ban people after they've left the server. |
