I'm curious. Who all has experience as far as maintaining servers? What all have you done to gain this "experience"? Serious thread. All posts not on topic will be deleted. |

Darj taught me how to use filezilla and a little bit of console. It was a while back so don't entirely remember everything with it :/ |

In terms of files or just being an admin? I have experience running files and such for TTT and admin on all servers, mainly TTT as the server runner. |

Depends what type of game server.. I have run CS:S and Minecraft Servers both with FTP and plugins/mods added. (Which I added on my own.) How I got the experience? I bought the server, and I maintained it. |

I bought the server, and I maintained it. Exact same here :r I've simply either bought servers or run them off a second computer at home. Both have turned out fine, but they were simply for learning, and not actual server hosting. |

I learned how to maintain and control a minecraft server , with first making my own server on my computer and messing around with the configs and gaining little experience from that and looking stuff up on the internet, I first learned how to use filezilla before I left RB and learned more when I joined EGN. |

I used to pay for my own server, I tested pretty much every mod for css so i have some experience. It was mainly soccer but was also scoutzknivez and minigames for awhile. |

I learned mostly on my own, of course I had help getting FileZilla but that was it. Everything else I learned on my own from constant Trial and Error. |
