Post subject: | Regarding Section Rules |
Alright guys, I want to run down the section rules. What are the section rules? Well there's a few subforums marked to have specific section rules. These are ban reports, ban appeals, and complaints. Let's start with a direct quote from the EgN Knowledgebase EgN Knowledgebase wrote: Only post a new topic if it is relevant to the section, not a joke and in accordance to the stickies in the section. Only post a reply on these topics if (either or): You are directly involved and have evidence or you are directly involved and an objective statement to add. You are asked for a reply by an involved admin or a Staff+ member. These topics are strongly moderated and offending any rules will result in appropriate punishment! So let's break this down. This is for making a topic Quote: Only post a new topic if it is relevant to the section, not a joke and in accordance to the stickies in the section. So be serious in these 3 sections. Don't post jokes, don't make fake complaints, etc. Use the section for what it's used for! Now this bit is for replying to these sections Quote: You are directly involved and have evidence or you are directly involved and an objective statement to add. To post in these sections, you MUST be a witness/involved in this incident. The ONLY exception to this is: Quote: You are asked for a reply by an involved admin or a Staff+ member. So if you are a witness, you must have something to actually contribute to the report. Post something objective. There's no need for you to post stating that you were simply a witness, or confirm that the incident happened. Don't bring up irrelevant subjects. Here's a clear cut example of what is appropriate: Member A -> Reports John Locke for freekilling Witnesses: Member B Evidence: Screenshot Member B replies: Here's another screenshot of John Locke freekilling after Member A left, or a demo. Pretty straightforward. I get that you guys are trying to be helpful, but per these rules; don't. If you actually have something useful to say that will get you forum banned, you can always message me or one of the other Staff. Don't be referring people to the right format, or linking other threads. Per the rules, this isn't allowed! So unless these rules get changed, this is a fair warning - else you may receive a longer-than-typical forum ban. Thanks all |
