Post subject:  Respawning after death on JB

So imagine this example to explain what I'm trying to say. The cell doors open pretty early, a terrorist opened them early from isolation. CTs give the order out of cell freeze, but this terrorist rushes the CT, no regard for his life, and dies. He then disconnects, reconnects, and respawns as the round has still only just begun. So basically the terrorist gets 2 lives in 1 round. This is honestly BS, but there are no rules against it. I consulted Yiggles about this, and he asked me to make this post.

I'm asking if we can get some sort of rule against this or if admins can act against it. Thanks

2ed, i'm fairly certain this would fall under "no server exploitation" if anything.

this does'it seem like that big of an issue since it only affects the first 20 seconds of game play and promotes daring plays by T's in that time. If you however think it is a big issue, bring it up at the meeting/admin meeting and we could probably just enforce it as no server exploitation.

I feel like minigames of all servers is affected more by this, making certain obstacle maps last forever since the round will never end due to people respawning themselves since the server relies more on maps having a auto spawn kill.

this happens very rarely and i dont think its really an issue. i agree that it promotes Ts to actually make daring plays which is what they are supposed to do as prisoners in jailbreak.

Considering the Ts rebelled and died rejoined and joined T side again. They are technically rebelling during that round so they are kos?

I would slay them...Then mute them, and tell them to talk in admin chat, because technically like wartheft said it's bein an ass hole, but on top of that, it's considered exploiting the map/ server...

I agree, it could fall under no exploitation. Though, to be fair, if you're exploiting the server to gain an advantage in an unfair way (Unfair in the sense that you're only supposed to have one life per round, not two), you're being an asshole. I'm actually not entirely sure how you'd say abusing a system to avoid a punishment and gain an unfair advantage that you're not supposed to have isn't being an asshole.

While to my understanding it's not an extremely common occurrence, I would say it's a big issue. Saying it promotes "daring plays by T's" isn't entirely wrong, but at the same time because you entirely remove the punishment for failing with a daring play (Being dying and having to wait for the next round), the play is no longer daring because you have no worry of punishment. You just respawn and it's like nothing happened at all. Hardly daring.

I understand Simp fully, beacuse like he says.. It's only 20 seconds of the round they will be able to do it.. And honestly, most players DON'T even do it beacuse they don't know it's possible.. So it's not a big issue, we should think of other problems in JB, instead of this minor.

So when that is said (Simp's comment)... Then ill problably do the same as Cyclops would do, kill them again.. And if they continue?.

But i've never had this problem with anyone before .. :-) So i don't think it would be a issue for anyone... Maybe only the butthurt people who just want's to complaint, because they can.
