Update! viewtopic.php?f=21&t=16693&start=10#p201738 How does a Free For All event sound? Specifics: - Game mode: Free For All (everyone can kill everyone else, no teams) - Winner: Will be the person with the highest K/D and a minimum of 40 kills. - Server will keep track of all stats, and we'll let the event run for a couple days. Up in the air: - CSS or CS:GO? - Prizes, how many, what prizes (ones would motivate you guys to actually participate)? - It will most likely be an event open to anyone with a forum account. - What maps? - Alterations/suggestions? - Duration? (weekend/midweek?) |

I'd very much prefer CS:S but I know CS:GO is generally what everyone goes for since it's the newest game. Prizes maybe killing floor 2 as one of the options. I generally like office and italy. :D |

Game: All our servers are on CS:S so probably easier for people to get on it, as some people don't own csgo. Maps: Maps idc about Suggestions/Alterations: Not sure if it's what you meant, but have event run for like an hour each day or something like that, and give out prizes seperately for those days. If it runs openly for many days, people can just bash it and less fair for those with less time on their hands as exams are still up for some of us. Also there are two ways to go about it this way. Have lots of short games with small prizes or longer and fewer games with better prizes. Up to everyone else whatever happens. Date/time/Duration: Depends when the servers are most populated, most likely weekend as I can guess the majority of players are in full-time education or work. Prizes: The ones which will motivate most people to join will be games, even if its under $10 or something. Anything worth money motivates people. That or sex but I don't have a large supply of nudes available to the public. |

CSS would be best everyone got it because that's where all we came from (: Also i'm free all week but friday because i'm going on holiday for a week (5th June - 12th June), so the midweek would be best for me. & I would say Inferno, Dust, Dust2 or Italy. My fav maps for CSS. |

CSS because I think almost everyone in the community owns the game. - Duration? (weekend/midweek?): Due to the fact that some off us are busy studying for exams and work full time, maybe a whole weekend will work best. Just make a post that clearly states when where how and all the details, making it final. then everyone will know. - What maps?: Why not all of the normal ones? Then we can play a amount of time on on map then map voting comes up, and the people vote for a new one? - Prizes, how many, what prizes (ones would motivate you guys to actually participate)?: Mostly steam games motivate the people to play. Some of us play cs:go and there is some guns with skin and/or knives people might enjoy as a prize, maybe if at all possible, you can put some up for grabs? |

So CSS it is? Also do you guys want a scoreboard that show's the player's event's total score, or a classic CSS one? Additionally I was thinking de_season (big, but small, close corridors) as map, with custom spawn points. What gun restrictions would be best, none, no AWP/AUTO, ...? I would go with just one map, since we'd need custom spawn points and it's a ranked event, throwing multiple maps in the mix could be considered unfair to some. + Not counting ranks if there are below 4 people on? |
