So i have had many issues with my family and school since 6th grade, im in what counts as 13th now. And i finally got in contact with a psychologist. That means im trying really hard to reconnect with my brother which might have some of the same issues as me, which take alot out of me. Im so gratefull that i got accepted in this community even tho i didnt say anything about it earlier, but i feel like im finally getting out of a hole now and want to let people know, since i've had a facade for so long. EgN Servers and the people i've talked alot to in here has let me smile and feel more wanted, that i havn't for a long time and that im so happy for too. So to sum it all up: THANK YOU ALL! |

I've been there and done that with therapy mate. My only advice to you is be patient, it is a process and it will likely take time. I've been gaining ground on my anxiety and depression for over two years now and sometimes when I start struggling again I have to remind myself how much progress I've made in such a short space of time. When I first started therapy I started keeping a diary. Whenever I was going to do something that scared me I used to write down exactly why it scared me and soon enough I found myself following all the "it's gonna turn out so badly" with "there's no reason why you can't do this, you've done this before, it turned out fine the last seven times". I find that writing it down helps you to process what's going on in your head, it can get messy in there sometimes. :) For what it's worth, I'm glad you're here and if it helps some, you can always hit me up if you need to get something off your chest. <3 |
